We have teamed up as brother and sister to form 'Team FastForward'. We both have a compassion for people in need and
have set ourselves an endurance challenge to raise funds and awareness and thereby help to make a difference, however small or large!
We direct our fundraising efforts towards helping severely disabled people to keep moving forward, in terms of improved physical mobility and cognitive development.
At the simplest level is the realisation that the physical challenges we set ourselves by participating
in tough endurance sports event cannot even parallel those faced every day by people with disabilities.
In exploring this website, we hope that you would feel led to support us.

Our fundraising endurance challenge will be to complete the 7th edition of the
ABSA Cape Epic in South Africa from 21. to 28. March 2010.
As the world’s biggest mountain-bike multi-stage race, riders will cover approx. 900km in distance and 16,000m of vertical climbing in 8 days, starting in Cape Town in the Western Cape of South Africa.
It is widely considered the toughest multi-stage mountain-bike race in the world, and is by far the toughest fundraising endurance challenge we have set ourselves, especially since we only started mountain-biking in 2009!
We will be competing in the '2010 ABSA Cape Epic' in aid of the UK based charity
Martha Trust. (Charity Registration No. 1067885).
The target is to raise £20,000 for Martha Trust. These funds will allow for the purchase of specialist mobility equipment and services to support Martha Trust’s residents with profound disabilities.
Please see the 'Challenges' section for more detail.
Founded in 1983, Martha Trust is a registered charity providing residential and respite care for people with profound physical and learning disabilities.
It currently comprises three residential care homes and a Day Centre in Deal (Kent) and Hastings (East Sussex), South East England.
Having personally visited the care homes on several occasions, we can attest to the family community spirit, personal attention and quality of care the 33 residents of Martha Trust receive.
We are therefore highly motivated to complete this endurance challenge and with your help raise the funds needed to support the Martha Trust and further its very special work.
Please see the 'Fundraising' and 'Donations' sections for more detail.
